Community Education
WC&S delivers training and presentations on domestic violence awareness and prevention to students, human service providers, clergy, addiction counselors, and other professionals.
The Community Education program offers group training and presentations regarding domestic violence (DV). Topics include:
- What DV is and how it affects individuals and families
- Signs of potentially abusive and controlling relationships
- Why is important to interrupt the cycle of violence
- Ways that people can help survivors and the community
Our aim is to raise awareness and involvement in the community regarding DV, reaching those who need help and those who can provide support, and engaging with other agencies whose work overlaps with the services of WC&S.
Community Education presentations and tabling opportunities are available to human service providers, clergy, addiction counselors, higher education, and other professionals.
