Donor Privacy Policy
Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh will not sell, share, or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
This policy applies to all information received by Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes Women’s Center & Shelter’s website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.
To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
Women’s Center & Shelter will follow the Donor Bill of Rights as developed by the American Association of Fundraising Council, Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the Council for Advancement and Support, and the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.
Requests by donors to remain anonymous, have their names removed from mailing lists, or to restrict appeals will be honored. Donors will not be subject to excessive pressure when solicited for contributions.
Gifts and donations may be restricted by a donor for use in any specific service area, and/or for any stated Women’s Center & Shelter purpose or program, and these requests must be honored.
When funds are accepted with restrictions, restrictions will be honored.
