Hotline Services
WC&S’s hotline services are available by phone 24/7, and by text or chat from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
Through hotline services, trained domestic violence (DV) professionals provide support, help with safety planning, and discuss options with anyone who has experienced any type of abuse from a current or former partner. They also provide support to anyone who knows someone who is experiencing DV.
Hotline services offer a way for anyone experiencing DV to reach out for assistance and emotional support, and to be met with warmth and understanding.
A DV survivor is the expert in their unique situation, so our trained and experienced staff help connect the survivor with services and resources the survivor feels would be helpful for them. Additionally, our team provides objective insight about the survivor’s safety and well-being to help empower them to do what is safest and best for them. They assist survivors in creating a safety plan, which is a set of actions that can help lower your risk of being hurt by the abusive partner. It includes information specific to the survivor, their life, and their children that will increase safety at school, home, and other places they go on a daily basis.
Hotline services are free and completely confidential.
Each way of contacting the hotline – phone, text, and chat – offers support and the chance to ask about WC&S services. The hotline is also the starting point for connecting to WC&S’s programs and assistance such as shelter services and support groups.
Open to All
Hotline services are open to anyone who has experienced any type of abuse from a current or former partner, as well as anyone who knows someone who has experienced DV and is looking for the best ways to support them.
The hotline is also available for professionals working with clients who are survivors of DV so that they receive guidance from trained DV staff members on how to best support them.
