Annual Holiday Gift Card Drive
Imagine: You and your children are spending the holidays in a domestic violence shelter, having left all your possessions behind in your search for safety. Or perhaps you are now living on your own but still struggling from the impacts of financial abuse.
Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh (WC&S) is excited to launch the 2025 Adopt-a-Family program, our annual holiday gift card drive that gives WC&S clients the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts for their children. Last year, donors provided a more joyful holiday season to over 1,000 survivors of domestic violence and their children.
Empowerment is a priceless gift: While it may seem impersonal, your contribution of Target, Wal-Mart, or Visa gift cards in increments of $25 will help to restore hope and cheer this holiday season to survivors who may be struggling just to make ends meet as they heal from the impacts of domestic and financial abuse.
By symbolically adopting a family, you will make this holiday season as bright as possible by uplifting survivors on the path to regain their sense of freedom.
The Adopt-a-Family program will be accepting gift cards until December 10, 2025.

If you’re interested in hosting a virtual gift card collection drive in your work office or among friends, please submit a community fundraiser proposal.
